I never knew plastic shower curtains could be thrown in the washer until college. But guess what? You can throw plastic shower curtains in the washer. Then just hang them back up to dry.

I used to buy a new one every time the old shower curtain was dirty. This really works, but I do end up dripping water through the house as I carry it from the washer back to the bathroom. You might want to shake it outside to get the loose water off before walking it through the house.
Best to buy durable shower curtains for the long haul and they’ll last forever. Thick, hotel quality with stainless steel grommets work best. Washing them periodiclly with bleach and laundry detergent restores them back to their original condition. Mine are almost 10 years old and look new.
