I never knew plastic shower curtains could be thrown in the washer until college. But guess what? You can throw plastic shower curtains in the washer. Then just hang them back up to dry.

I loved the way my copper-bottom pots looked when I got them. But not so much after they tarnished. Of all people, my husband actually told me this trick: Rub them with lemon halves dipped in salt. Apparently the acid does it. All I know is, it works.

Discovered this one by keen observation. (Actually I kept wondering how my dog’s hair would find it’s way into my closet!) Use the rubber bottom of a clean tennis shoe to remove pet hair from couches.

Egg Yolk to Remove Coffee Stains

To get coffee stains out of fabric or a rug, dip a white cloth into a beaten egg yolk and rub the yolk into the stain. Then rinse with clear water. I don’t know why, but it comes right out.
