what is the best thing to use on Stainless Steele appliances

Hi Ruth,
Thank you for your question. Typically Merry Maids team members use a stainless steel cleaner for regular cleaning and maintenance. But what causes streaking in most cases is oily fingerprints. You may clean and polish stainless steel with vinegar:
To clean and polish stainless steel, simply moisten a cloth with undiluted white or cider vinegar and wipe clean. Can also be used to remove heat stains on stainless steel cutlery.
To remove streaks, we often use a lemon oil product diluted with a gallon of water, but you may use Murphy’s Oil Soap or even olive oil. If you use olive oil, you want to apply a small amount to a soft cloth and rub over the entire surface. Sometimes club soda may be used to remove streaks or heat stains from stainless steel by rubbing with club soda.
Before following any of the cleaning information, methods, advice or suggestions above, always test a small area that is less visible first. Also, you should consult the manufacturer's care instructions and warnings before trying any of the above. I use Windex on all of my stainless stell appliances and it works great. I just happened to actually read the label and noticed it stainless steel was on its list of uses…so i tried it and it did the job.
