When cleaning off a granite counter top, try adding 1/2 cup of lemon juice per every 3 ups of water. The acid contained in the lemon juice will counteract the stickiest enzymes found in most common stains.

Lemon juice in water is very acid and will etch the granite. A bleach solution such as you can make yourself or buy for about $1 at WalMart will take off stickiness. Enzymes are proteins, they aren’t particularly sticky. Bleach will take out “common stains” and it won’t etch or otherwise damage granite or marble.
